OK - this is different.

Have you ever watched Sumo wrestling? It is really quite exciting and on the surface it is very simple.

The winner of a Sumo bout is either:
  1. The first wrestler to force his opponent to step out of the ring.
  2. The first wrestler to force his opponent to touch the ground with any part of his body other than the bottom of his feet.

Suddenly I am a fan of Yokozuna Asashoryu

The origins date back to the Edo period of Japan and the Samurai.  Sumo is as much about ritual as it is about combat.  The ritual of significant actions builds into intense focus on this intelligent match of will, strength, speed, agility, and mass.  The explosive physical contest averages about 10 seconds.
